Later in the summer of 1995, Kim and I came back to inspect the new planting. The trees have grown quite a bit in a few months. This is an A-frame trellis system. Wires are strung between the steel supports and bamboo poles tied to the wire support the trees. As the trees send out branches they will be tied down to the wire. Again, this avoids excessive wood production due to movement in the wind.
